(ĐN)- Over the last nine months of the year, Dong Nai province’s Red Cross Association and its agencies has spent around VND80 billion for charity activities.
The money was used to present 293 wheelchairs for people with disabilities; build 69 charity houses and upgrade 43 others for local poor households; award more than 3,000 scholarships to studious poor students.
The association and its agencies also gave 38 breeding cows and hundreds of gifts to poor policy beneficiaries, AO/Dioxin victims and ethnic minority people as well as provide free eye surgeries to 1,400 patients and medical check-ups to 55,4000 needy people.
