(ĐN)- October has been designated as the Action Month for the Vietnamese Elderly under the decision signed by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. The move is to hold up the role of senior citizens while providing timely and proper care for their fellows living in need.

In response to the month, Dong Nai provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the provincial Association of the Elderly have cooperated with other organizations, individuals to carry out activities to care for the elderly in the province.
Earlier, Dong Nai provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the provincial Association of the Elderly mobilized 12 tons of rice and 30 cartons of instant noodles from Ong Pagoda in Bien Hoa city to present to elderly people in especially disadvantageous circumstances in Tan Phu, Dinh Quan, and Vinh Cuu districts.
