(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs on February 27 organized a meeting to deploy its tasks in 2015.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri of the provincial People’s Committee asked the department to come up with practical measures for executing policies related to jobs, vocational training, social welfare, labour safety, poverty reduction and care for the underprivileged.
Particularly, further efforts should be done to reduce the percentage of poor households according to new criteria by 1 percent, cut the unemployment rate to below 2.5 percent, increase the rate of trained workforce to over 50% and create jobs for more than 90,000 labourers.
Unresolved cases of individuals, who have rendered great services to the nation, such as wounded soldiers and martyrs and their children, who have been affected by toxic chemicals, needs to be dealt with definitively.
