The program was launched by the provincial Departments of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Education and Training, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in Ho Chi Minh City, and the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO).
The project aims to raise the quality of careers guidance training activities via boosting the cooperation between schools and businesses. It will be piloted at three senior high schools of Phuoc Thien, Nguyen Dinh Chieu and Long Phuoc, and three junior high schools of Tan Hiep, Tam An and Long Phuoc in Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts.
Earlier, Long Thanh-Nhon Trach Regional Vocational College had been supported to set up group of counselors for quality of machinery and cooking majors by VCCI.
In the period, VCCI and NHO will provide training on skills and teaching methods of careers guidance for local high school teachers, organize seminars and talks for the schools’ staff to update and exchange their information of careers guidance as well as set up the link between local schools and businesses in order to help them in careers guidance training.
