(ĐN)- In the morning of September 21, Vinh Cuu district’s Red Cross Chapter and Elderly Association handed over two charity houses to the families of Ms Nguyen Thi Bi and Ms Do Thi Quy in Phu Ly commune.
The houses each is built on an area of 32 sq.m at a cost of VND35 million, financed by Phi Lai pagoda and Phu Ly parish.
Earlier, Dong Nai provincial Elderly People Association in cooperation with HCM city-based District 5’s Red Cross Chapter presented 200 gifts worth VND300,000 each to poor elders and 200 gifts each valued at VND200,000 to students with difficult circumstances.
Dinh Quan district’s Red Cross Chapter has recently awarded scholarships totaling some VND50 million to 23 poor students with excellent study performance. The scholarships are funded by Golden Flag Company.
