(ĐN)- A ceremony was held at Cam My district’s Xuan Tay commune on Sept 20 in response to the 2014 Clean Up the World Campaign, with more than 1,000 volunteers taking part.
The event was co-organized by the Dong Nai Youth Union in collaboration with Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Cam My district People’s Committee to raise public awareness of environment protection.

Volunteers, including authorities, soldiers, youth members, students and locals have begun their community work at Xuan Tay commune.

"Clean Up the World" was originally launched in Australia in 1993 to draw community attention to the environment and nature.
The campaign encourages participants to organize an activity on or around the weekend to celebrate environmental successes from cleaning up, conserving water, planting trees, raising environmental awareness, and education initiatives.
