(ĐN) - Dong Nai provincial Red Cross Association on July 4 held a ceremony to review its work in the first half of the year. Accordingly, the association raised more than 58.7 billion for humanitarian activities in the period.

(ĐN) - Dong Nai provincial Red Cross Association on July 4 held a ceremony to review its work in the first half of the year. Accordingly, the association raised more than 58.7 billion for humanitarian activities in the period.
The money was used to present gifts to over 110,000 poor beneficiaries, AO/dioxin victims, policy families and soldiers, offered 234 wheelchairs to disabled people, award 2,869 scholarships to disadvantaged students, build 55 charity houses and gave 33 cows to difficult households.
Besides, the cross also provided free medical check-ups, medicines and surgeries to needy patients and collected 15,754 blood units.
On this occasion, 26 collectives and individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the provincial People’s Committee for their achievements.
