(ĐN)- A ceremony was held on June 21 by Dong Nai Journalists Association to mark the 89th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

On this occasion, the province’s authorities awarded Duong Tu Giang press prize to 11 outstanding journalists and honored 28 other journalists for their efforts. Dong Nai Journalists Association honored 23 outstanding works by journalists across the province which won the Golden Pen Prize.

Addressing at the ceremony, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai hailed the contributions made by journalists to the province’s sustainable economic growth and defense.
He also asked journalists to continue upgrading their professional skills and adopt a firm political stance, fighting social evils with a constructive and responsible spirit.

Vice Chairman Pham Quoc Toan also stressed the role of the press in the current world and domestic context. Accordingly, the press takes an increasingly significant part in the implementation of the national reform under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the protection of the sacred and inviolable national sovereignty and the maintenance of a peaceful and stable environment for the country’s development. Toan also asked press agencies and journalists to continue to exercise their social responsibility and be good citizens.
