(ĐN)- On June 18, Dong Nai provincial Elderly People Association organized a meeting to review its activities over the past two years and a half.
The association has so far raised more than VND47 billion to assist its members. 100% of elderly people who are policy beneficiaries received social allowance and health insurance.
Besides, the association also encouraged its members help each other in developing family economy, poverty reduction as well as raise funds to build bridges, roads, houses for the poor.
In the coming time, the association will continue efforts to take care of elders and enhance the role of elderly people.
