Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman asked the forestry sector continue to closely coordinate with localities to participate in forest management, protection and development.

Dong Nai is now home to around 180,000 ha of natural and planted forest. In 2012, the province planted some 700 ha of forests, including more than 400 ha of production forests, nearly 300 ha of protective forests and special use forests.
Last year, 469 violations of forest protection laws occurred in the province, 20 cases higher than that of previous year.
