Since the beginning of the year, the province raised VND190 billion to build 1,289 charity houses, provide capital support for poor families to develop household economy and stabilize their lives, present scholarships for students with difficult circumstances, help poor patients, etc.
According to plan, 1,000 compassion houses totaling VND30 billion will be built for the poor by the end of this year. Of the total, Vietinbank funds VND20 billion, the remaining money is financed by other sponsors.
Action month for the Poor will be launched in Dong Nai from October 17 to November 18.
