In the letter, the leaders praised the great efforts of the provincial Elderly People Association over the past years and acknowledged contributions made by the elderly to the province's socio-economic, cultural and educational development.
On this occasion, the provincial Elderly People Association’s delegation visited and presented gifts worth VND400,000 each to 1,133 elderly people aged 90.
In the morning of Sep 30, Bien Hoa city’s General Hospital in coordination with the provincial Red Cross Association and a delegation of doctors and nurses from HCM city Ophthalmology Association provided free eye surgeries to elderly cataract patients in the locality. The total cost of the program was estimated at nearly VND80 million.
