(ĐN)- Nearly 330 hectares of forest has been grown in Dong Nai since the beginning of the year, accounting for nearly 85 percent of the set target, reported Department for Agriculture and Rural Development.
The figure included 163 ha of protective forests, 107 ha of production forests and more than 57 ha of special use forests. The province will afforest an additional 60 ha until the end of this year.
Presently, Dong Nai has 112,000 ha of natural forest and over 57,000 ha of planted forest.
Over the past five years, the province’s authorities has taken drastic measures to minimize deforestation.
