142 poor students get scholarships

(ĐN)- Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP Fund) has recently awarded scholarships to 142 studious poor students in Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, Trang Bom districts and Bien Hoa city.

(ĐN)- Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP Fund) has recently awarded scholarships to 142 studious poor students in Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, Trang Bom districts and Bien Hoa city.

The annual scholarships aim to help disadvantaged students to cover their school fees, overcome difficulties to continue their study.

In 2011, CEP Fund spent more than VND2.7 billion to grant scholarships and build houses for poor students and families nationwide.

CEP Fund, a non-profit Vietnamese microfinance organization, was established by HCM City Labour Federation in 1991 to help families with difficult circumstances to escape from poverty.
