(ĐN)- Bien Hoa city’s Red Cross Chapter organized a meeting to review its activities in the 2005-10 period and discuss tasks for 2011-16 period.
Over the past five years, the chapter and its agencies raised approximately VND38.2 billion and 16,500 work days to help local poor people.
Implementing the campaign “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address”, the chapter mobilized 213 organizations and individuals to assist 215 poor beneficiaries.
In this period, Long Thanh district’s Red Cross Chapter provided financial supports worth nearly VND6 billion to 62,000 people with difficult circumstances. From 2005-2010, the chapter raised over VND25 billion for social and charitable activities.
In the next period, the chapters will continue its efforts to raise more donations for local poor people.
