(ĐN)- On January 7, Thong Nhat district’s Poverty Reduction Board in cooperation with Gia Tan 3 commune People’s Committee handed over two charitable houses to poor families in the commune. The houses are built on an area of 50-56 sq.m each at a total cost of VND70 million, financed by the family of Vu Van Chinh and Kiem Tan high school.
Earlier, six charity houses were handed over to difficult households in Quang Dung commune. The houses worth totaling VND60 million were funded by Dong Nai Lottery Company and Dong Nai Telecom.
From 2006 until now, Gia Tan 3 commune raised more than VND1.5 billion to build and hand over 75 charity houses to local poor families.
