Attending the ceremony were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ao Van Thinh, heroes of the armed forces, heroic Vietnamese mothers, together with a large number of local people.
Over the past 35 years, the district has made great achievements in economic development. 35 years after its liberation, the district’s economic structure has undergone a positive shift with industry accounting for 70 per cent of the economic structure, service, 20 per cent, agriculture, 10 per cent. The local living standard has improved considerably, with the average per capita income reaching VND29 million per year in 2009. Presently, Trang Bom has four concentrated industrial parks and seven industrial complexes. So far, the district has attracted more than 200 investment projects from foreign and domestic investors. The projects have provided jobs for over 70,000 laborers.
On the occasion, the district’s Fatherland Front Committee also launched an emulation movement to celebrate national events, including the 35th anniversary of the South’s Liberation Day (April 30), the 1,000 th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and the National Party Congress.
