Over VND275 mil mobilized to help the poor

(ĐN)- Dong Nai health sector, in 2009, raised more than VND275 million to Fund for the Poor, according to Department of Health.

Providing free dental check-ups to primary students in Long Thanh district.

Besides, the sector also mobilized over VND306 million for Paying debt of gratitude Fund, donated more than VND256 million to build houses for poor laborers. Last year, the sector contributed approximately VND100 million to upgrade two health stations in Lao Cai and Ha Nam provinces, help health staffs suffering fatal diseases.

The sector cooperated with related agencies to provide free check-ups and medicines to over 2,000 poor people in remote areas and revolutionary contributors, built five charity kitchens in hospitals in the province, took care of heroic mothers, war invalids and martyrs’ families.
