(ĐN)- Dong Nai Environment Protection Fund on March 17 held a meeting to report its operation results in the past time. According to the report, the Fund now has a total capital of approximately VND30 billion. In 2008-2009, the Fund provided loans worth more than VND10 billion to eight projects in the province. In the coming time, the Fund will spend around VND26 billion to offer loans for small and medium enterprises to build wastewater treatment systems with an interest rate of 4.5 percent/year.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ao Van Thinh stressed that the Fund should continue to give priority loans to wastewater treatment projects in the next time to help protect local residents’ environment.
