Long Thanh basically completes construction of gratitude and charity houses

Over the past 10 years, Long Thanh district built and handed over 425 houses of gratitude for policy beneficiaries and more than 2,650 charity houses to the poor, AO/dioxin victims and blind people.

(ĐN)- Paying debts of gratitude and taking care of the poor are among Long Thanh district’s top priorities over the past time. So far, the district built and handed over 425 houses of gratitude for policy beneficiaries and more than 2,650 charity houses to the poor, AO/dioxin victims and blind people. The Long Thanh also constructed 122 houses for ethnic minority people in Phuoc Binh and Tan Hiep communes, upgraded more than 60 others.

According to Chairman of the district’s Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Van Tam, Long Thanh has basically completed the construction of gratitude and charity houses for policy beneficiaries and poor households in the locality. In 2010, the committee will continue to cooperate with related agencies, organizations and individuals to implement “Paying debts of gratitude” movement effectively, conduct charity activities and assist people with difficulties.
