Nearly a thousand poor households in seven districts of southern Dong Nai Province have been provided with new rice and maize varieties, fertilisers, marine and poultry breeds under a three-year project that aims to enhance productivity among poor farmers. Seven hundred households received eighty 15-day-old fowls and about 200 households received maize and rice varieties.
The project aims to assist 5,000 poor households in the province by the end of the year, especially poor ethnic minority households, in increasing their income through farming and cultivation.
