| Rice paintings are meticulously crafted |
According to Khoa, the rice paintings are meticulously crafted; each individual grain must be slim, firm, and the same size; for this reason, the rice is always carefully selected.
The grains are then roasted for a length of time depending on the color tones required for the works which are drafted in advance. Finally, the rice is attached to paper according to the draft painting.
Khoa has created hundreds of rice works so far, including portraits of the country’s leaders and scenes of Vietnamese villages. When words fail to convey a message, paintings can help, said Khoa.
In 2010, Khoa will continue to introduce his products, Vietnamese rice paintings, to other countries.
