(ĐN)- On Feb. 6, Dong Nai branch of SCB presented 100 gifts totalling VND20 mil to poor households in Quang Vinh, Hoa Binh and Tan Bien wards, Bien Hoa city.
Earlier, Long Khanh town sent delegations to visit and present 3,930 Tet gifts valued at between VND250,000-400,000 each to the poor and social beneficiaries. The gifts worth a total of VND461.6 million, financed by the town’s Fund for the Poor.
Trung Dung ward People’s Committee gave 169 Tet gifts to difficult families, orphans, handicapped children and AO victims living in the ward. The gifts totaling more than VND37 million, funded by Donataba, Dong Nai Post Office, Dong Nai branches of World Bank and Vietcombank, Phu Minh Co, etc.
On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2010, Dong Tien Garment Co. spent more than VND600 mil to present gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers and some difficult localities, donated over VND50 million to Centre for Handicapped Children and Dong Nai‘s Centre for Elderly People and Disabled.
Besides, nearly 1,000 Tet gifts each worth VND200,000-400,000 were also offered to poor households across the province. The gifts were financed by Doxaco, Donacoop, Tin Nghia, Cuong Thuan Co., Bien Hoa Building Materials Production and Construction Co., Nam Chau Son Co.
On this occasion, VMEP Company donated VND20 million to build and hand over a charity house to a poor family in Quyet Thang ward, Bien Hoa city.
