(ĐN)- A delegation from the Viet Nam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin (VAVA) headed by senior lieutenant-general Nguyen Van Rinh on Tuesday visited Dong Nai province’s Dinh Quan district to discuss a plan to build a Centre for Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims in the district.
(ĐN)- A delegation from the Viet Nam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin (VAVA) headed by senior lieutenant-general Nguyen Van Rinh on Tuesday visited Dong Nai province’s Dinh Quan district to discuss a plan to build a Centre for Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims in the district.
Senior lieutenant-general Nguyen Van Rinh said at a meeting with leaders of Dinh Quan district that Dong Nai province was the second locality in the country to receive funding from VAVA to build this centre with a total countruction cost of VND 500 million.
The project will be built on the site of the former headquarter of the district branch’s Agribank. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in June of this year. Once completed, the centre will be capable of providing rehabilitation treatments and vocational training to 30-40 AO/Dioxin Victims.
On this occasion, the delegation visited and presented gifts to 5 families of AO/dioxin victims in Dinh Quan district’s Phu Loi commune. Each gift included rice, sugar, candy, cake and cash worth VND 500,000.
