(ĐN)- From the beginning of the year, 7,361 officials and soldiers from the provincial armed forces contributed 51,527 work days to upgrade and build 115 km of rural traffic roads, dredged 47.5 km of canals. In addition, army units in the province also sent soldiers to help residents in the flood-hit areas to overcome the consequences.
Apart from helping people in cleaning up the environment and building rural roads, the soldiers visited and presented 1,047 gifts worth over VND250 million to policy beneficiaries as well as provided free medical check-ups and medicine worth a total of more than VND 115 million to 975 poor patients in remote areas of the province.
