Lately, Thong Nhat district’s delegations visited and presented gifts to 23 elderly people who are over 100 years of age and live in the district. The district now has more than 10,300 elderly people, with 1,000 aged over 85. The oldest is Pham Thi Ngoan, a 109-year-old woman, in the district’s Gia Tan 1 commune.
On this occasion, Trang Bom district Elderly People’s Association organized delegations to visit and offer gifts to local elders. Trang Bom presently has 16 people over 100, living in Ho Nai 3, Bac Son, Quang Tien, Trung Hoa, Song Thao, Bau Ham communes and Trang Bom town. The oldest people in the district is a 109 year old woman, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thuan in Quang Tien commune.
