Xuan Loc effectively implements patriotic emulation movement

(ĐN) – Xuan Loc is a mountainous district where most of the population lives by agriculture. In the recent years, the district has made incessantly efforts to fulfill and surpass the set socio-economic targets; accordingly, the spiritual and material life of local people has been step by step improved.

In spite of facing many difficulties and challenges, thanks to creative management by local authorities, party committees and efforts by people, Xuan Loc economy still saw improvements in 2008. Particularly, the district reported GDP growth of 15.81 percent, total budget collection of more than VND129 billion, the average GDP per capita last year was VND12 million.

In 2008, Xuan Loc built and handed over 130 charity houses; nearly 2,000 households have escaped poverty thanks to development efforts. The campaign The entire people unite to build a new cultural lifestyle at residential areas achieved practical results. Accordingly, 95 percent of households in the district were recognized as cultural families; 100 percent of communal health stations meet national standard. The district helped to create jobs for poor beneficiaries in the locality.

With its efforts, Xuan Loc district has just been awarded the Government’s Excellent Emulation Flag.
