(ĐN)- According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training and the Study Encouragement Association of Dong Nai province, about 1.1 million people took part in training courses at local community centres in 2008, an increase of nearly 160,000 people over the preceding year. Especially, the learning centres have provided vocational training, courses in agriculture and technology for more than 250,000 people over the last year.
In 2009, the learning centres will focus on providing educational training courses in industry and agriculture as well as implementing projects and programmes in order to meet the demand of learners. Particularly, 44 learning centres in the province will offer training courses in science and technology that will be conducted by the Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
