The Finance Ministry has decided to delay the payment of personal income tax from January 1 to May 31 to provide a relief to many people and businesses at a time the country’s economy is facing slowdown. Taxpayers eligible for this incentive are those with earnings from salary and wages, stock trading, capital gains, copyright and franchise transfers. However, those who have gains from property transactions, prizes, inheritance and gifts will not enjoy this incentive. The National Assembly will determine whether the amount of delayed tax will be paid or exempted in its sitting in May.
