Dong Nai participates in exhibition “Antiques from southern rivers”

(ĐN)- A unique exhibition of “Antiques from rivers in southern Vietnam” was opened in the Vietnam History Museum in HCM City on Wednesday.

(ĐN)- A unique exhibition of “Antiques from rivers in southern Vietnam” was opened in the Vietnam History Museum in HCM City on Wednesday, December 10. The event is held to celebrate the 310th anniversary of the exploration of the south (1698-2008), with the cooperation of eight provincial museums and 12 collectors.

The exhibition shows thousands of objects which were retrieved from hundreds of sites from rivers in southern provinces. Dong Nai contributed to the exhibition with 43 typical antiques that were found in the past time.

On display also are unique objects of the Phu Nam and Oc Eo cultures of the 1st-7th centuries, ancient objects of 3,000-3,500 years old in Vam Co River, etc. The exhibition will run until April 2009.
