Earlier, the hospital had bought a 4D ultrasound machine, worth VND 1.2 billion and the machine was put into use in July. The new CT scanner is the second modern medical equipment at the hospital with public investment capital.
Dr. Su Son, Director of the Hospital said that doctors at the hospital will be able to perform skull surgeries in December with support from surgeons from the Ho Chi Minh city based Cho Ray hospital.
The director of the provincial Health Department Tu Thanh Chuong said that the new CT scanner at the hospital would bring real benefits to patients residing in the locality and surrounding areas.
