Formosa’s workers enjoy comfortable homes

It can be said that a nine-storey residential building for the employees of the Hiep Hung Formosa Company Ltd is considered the most modern residential apartment in Dong Nai. Formosa invested more than US$8 million in constructing apartment building for its employees. Each room with its area of 24 square meters is furnished with bunk beds for 6 people and wardrobes, tables and reading-lamps for individuals. The building offers housing for more than 2,200 employees. There are washing area, bathrooms with supplied hot water all day, a reading-room, a room for watching TV, a billiard room for males and a ping-pong room for females every floor in the building. Besides, all services such as internet, beauty salon, supermarket, post office, banking service etc. are available on ground floor. The building is surrounded by lawns and pleasant gardens. There is a canteen in the building. The employees enjoy free meals and free accommodations at the residential building. Moreover, free breakfast and evening meals at the canteen in the building are offered daily to the companys workers who live outside the building. All these demonstrate that how much the company cares for its employees.

Lin Chia Pin, Administration Manager at Formosa said that the company now plans to build another residential building and apartments will have housing for married employees. He added the new building would provide not only the same services as the existing residential building but also include mini-suite of one consulting room, kindergarten, park and other services. He also said that a comfortable living environment will make the employees happy, and it will create bonds between the employees and facilitate identification of the employees with their company, and employees will do their best to contribute to the Companys sustainable growth.
