People of talent have come forth in large numbers in a small village in Nhon Trach district called Vinh Cuu.
It has turned out hundreds of university students in decades, including 17 doctors and masters, and is dubbed as "doctors village" by locals far and near.
In Vinh Cuu village, a tiny village with a population of 1,762, respect for people of great learning has taken root in the hearts of the villagers.
The villagers in Vinh Cuu live a very simple life based on farming. However, their tradition of valuing education has paid off in the long run, which has won the village great honors and glory.
Over a dozen natives of the village have received doctorate and masters degrees in prestigious universities in the country and abroad, which is rarely seen in such small village.
The springing up of learned scholars has inspired more and more youngsters in the village to study hard. Up to date, the village has turned out 17 doctors, masters and more than 123 university and college students. Many of them are holding important positions in research institutions and companies.
