(ĐN)- On May 6, a press conference was organized to announce the 2008 “Vietnamese Business People Help the Poor” tournament that will be held on May 18 at Long Thanh Golf Club. The event is co-organized by Long Thanh Golf Club and Thai Binh Shoes Group. It is expected to attract the participation of 144 local and expatriate golfers.
Le Van Kiem, head of the organizing committee and general director of Long Thanh Golf Club, said the organization board has so far received donations of nearly VND120 billion from enterprises and individuals inside and outside the country. Of which, Long Thanh Golf Club donated VND22 billion. The money will be used to help the poor, build schools and clinics, etc.
