A training class entitled “Chilren and Media” held in Dong Nai

(ĐN)-In the morning of March 23, a three-day training class entitled “Children and Media” was organized at Dong Nai Newspaper’s meeting hall by Institute for Journalism Training and Propaganda, Save the Children Sweden in Vietnam in cooperation with Dong Nai Newspaper.

(ĐN)-In the morning of March 23, a three-day training class entitled “Children and Media” was organized at Dong Nai Newspaper’s meeting hall by Institute for Journalism Training and Propaganda, Save the Children Sweden in Vietnam in cooperation with Dong Nai Newspaper. There were about 30 participants who are editors and reporters of Dong Nai Newspaper and representatives from departments, agencies in the province.

 

Associate professor and Doctor Nguyen Van Dung, Head of project "Children and Media", said that the three-day class provides participants with knowledge and information about children’s rights, participation of children in media, children’s mentality, etc. Through the training class, the participants are able to understand more about the media’s role in protecting, taking care of and educating children.

 

From 2000 until now, the project has cooperated with Vietnam Journalists’ Association to hold “Journalists and Children” contest and organize the training classes, workshops for journalism students and professsional journalists in the country.
