For the same period, the performance achievement percentage in respect of the sectors of transportation, trade and services exceeded the targets and recorded positive growth.

For the same period, the performance achievement percentage in respect of the sectors of transportation, trade and services exceeded the targets and recorded positive growth. In addition, positive changes were seen in culture and other social areas. As a result, Xuan Loc district enjoyed a healthy GDP growth rate of nearly 12 per cent in 2006 while the average income per capita in the district stood at VND 8.3 million, an increase of more than 17 per cent over 2005. So far, 11 out of 15 villages and quarters have been recognized as cultural units; 90 per cent of households recognized as cultural families. In 2006, the district helped lift 460 households out of poverty, thus reducing the poverty rate to 11% (according to the new poverty line).
