Dong Nai’s socio-economic development maintains high growth rate in 2006

(ĐN)- Dong Nai has maintained strong socio-economic development in 2006 despite many difficulties, natural disasters and epidemics, with an estimated GDP growth rate of 14.3 percent, Tran Dinh Thanh, Member of PCC, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee reported at the opening session on January 4 of the sixth conference of the Dong Nai provincial Party Committee’s Executive Board.

“Positive changes were seen in fields of post and telecommunications, transportation, export and other social areas. Besides achievements, the province is facing challenges and difficulties."  Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh said.

In his address, Thanh also urged the provincial relevant agencies to deploy every effort as soon as early 2007 to ensure the smooth implementation of the new measures in order to achieve targets set for 2007.

The two-day conference from January 4-5 plans to review the provincial party committee’s activities over the past year and set tasks for 2007.
