(ĐN)- The Dong Nai provincial Department of Culture and Information in coordination with the Provincial Department of Population, Family and Children have just organized an exchange meeting with the most exemplary families in Dong Nai on the occasion of Vietnam Family Day (June 28).
At the exchange meeting, attenders have shared experiences in preserving and consolidating the nation’s good moral values and build a culture life. These exemplary families have well implemented the policies of the Party and State’s law in educating their children. In addition, these families have exemplary grandparents and parents and filial children who love and share sorrow and joy with each other, helping each other to overcome hardships and difficulties, telling each other to keep away from bad influences.
To help families cope with these problems, agencies and social organizations have worked together to increase public awareness on family roles and responsibilities to build a model of civilised and sustainable families. Vietnam Family day was also set up in 2001 for this purpose.
Vietnam Family day is celebrated every June 28 with various activities in the province including seminar, forum, fair, cooking contest, art exhibition and so on. These activities are interesting, exciting and attractive to a large number of people throughout the province. Thus, the remarks have left good impression among inhabitants of Dong Nai. Besides, the province plans to focus efforts in improving its activities, caring for the poor and social policy beneficiaries, expanding gratitude showing and poverty reduction activities.
