A US$780,000 project funded by the Danish Embassy in Vietnam will help improve the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Organisation’s (VYEO) ability to develop a dynamic private sector in Vietnam.

Signed in Hanoi on April 20, the three-year project will also benefit the affiliated provincial Young Business Association in the five selected cities of Hue, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Hai Duong and Hai Phong.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Danish Ambassador Peter Lysholt Hansen affirmed the importance of business organisations like VYEO in developing a strong and sustainable private sector. This type of organisation will serve as a bridge linking the private sector with the Government, ensuring that viewpoints of its members are taken into consideration during the policy-making process, he added.
