(ĐN)- In two days, 14 and 15 January, the Province’s Red Cross Chapter has provided free check and eye surgery to over 300 poor patients in Bien Hoa city. This is the first stage of free eye surgery programme in 2006.

(ĐN)- In two days, 14 and 15 January, the Province’s Red Cross Chapter has provided free check and eye surgery to over 300 poor patients in Bien Hoa city. This is the first stage of free eye surgery programme in 2006. On the occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Huynh Van Toi and Mr. Nishiyama, representative of Sanyo DI Solutions Vietnam Corporation who is main sponsor of the programme, visited the patients and doctors of the hospital.
Over the past 5 years, the free eye surgery programme is one of important activities in hunger eradication and poverty reduction work of Dong Nai province. It has brought light to thousand of poor blind people in the local. In 2006, the Province’s Red Cross Chapter and General hospital in Thong Nhat district will provide free eye surgery to over 1,000 local poor patients.
