29 samples of fruit qualify for final round of contest of tasty fruits and good varieties.

First prize-winning pomelo variety

(ĐN)- The final round of the contest of tasty fruits and good varieties was conducted on January 10 by the Provincial Center for Agriculture Promotion in coordination with the Fruit –Tree Researching Center of the Southeast area. About 114 samples of fruit participated the contest. There were 29 entries in the final round. The organization board announced the first winners for this year’s contest were Mr. Vo Van Tanh in Tan Binh commune (Vinh Cuu district) with his pomelo variety and Mr. Mai Van Kien, La Nga commune (Dinh Quan district) with his mandarin tree. Nobody received the first prize, the second prize was awarded to Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Thuy in Cam Duong commune (Long Thanh district) with her orange tree. Seed multiplication of prize-winning fruits will be undertaken by the Provincial Center for Agriculture Promotion.
