A reliable source on November 8 told VietNamNet that the Central Hygiene and Epidemiology Institute would begin producing H5N1 vaccine for humans as of November 10.
The proposed vaccine would be produced in a condensed and pure form, though he declined to announce the volume of production.
The Institute has also submitted a plan for testing the vaccine on humans to the Ministry of Health. But health professionals say that waiting for the ministry’s approval may be too late for production. Thus, the institute would produce vaccine early in anticipation of an outbreak in humans.
