
(ĐN) – July 2, Dong Nai Farmers’ Association held the final of contest 2005 entitled “Charming and Diligent Young Country Girls” and “Country Singing” at the meeting-hall in Dong Nai Province’s Square to mark the 75th anniversary of the Vietnamese Farmers’ Association (VFA) establishment (October 14)
The first-ever contest “Charming and Diligent Young Country Girls” being held in Dong Nai aimed to attract country women participation; this helped expanding their knowledge concerning the aspects of marriage, family and community life. All contestants paraded in the Vietnamese traditional dress (Ao Dai) and alternative costume. Then, they performed their talents for judging. At the final stage, each contestant was scored on her ability to answer questions by the judges. At the final round, Le Chi Na, 18 years old, who lived in Thong Nhat district, was the overall winner. The first runner-up was Vo Thi Thuy of Long Khanh town and the second runner –up was Vo Phuong Thao of Trang Bom district. The winners will then progress to the final round in the national level.
