Ceremony launching movements "To act for children", "Vietnamese Family Day" to hold

(ĐN)- Tomorrow evening of June 1, a ceremony entitled "To act for children lasting from May 15 until June 30 " and "Vietnamese Family Day in June 28" will be held in the provincial meeting hall by the Provincial Peoples’ Committee.

To take care chidren better for tomorrow world 

(ĐN)- Tomorrow evening of June 1, a ceremony entitled "To act for children lasting from May 15 until June 30 " and "Vietnamese Family Day in June 28" will be held in the provincial meeting hall by the Provincial Peoples’ Committee. At this ceremony, children who have been financed for heart operation will show their gratitude to their sponsors. Besides, leaders of the province will launch movements to respond to the above actions. At the same time, the provincial children sponsor fund will be collected from the local individuals and units on this occasion.

According to the Provincial Committee of Population, Family and Children, in 2004, individuals and units from the internal and external province were mobilized to contribute actively a large sum to the provincial children sponsor following the resolution No. 67 as proposed by the Province’ s People’s Council. This fund has offered scholarships to 524 poor pupils, 24 charity houses to outstanding poor children. Besides, it has also financed 20 children cases of heart operation and other 72 treatment cases of fatal disease and injured children as caused by traffic accident. Many operation cases for children such as eyes, harelip, handicapped and burn have been done under the support of the fund. Furthermore, 1,532 children have enjoyed free medical checks and treatment. 17 disable children were presented wheelchairs. Nearly 6,000 gifts were given to the local children on the occasion of holidays and New Year’s Day. In the other hand, the fund has also lent aid to 14 families of outstanding poor children in order to improve their living conditions better.

This year, the province keeps implementing the resolution No. 67. Accordingly, the local officials and workers will be mobilized to contribute a workday pay to charity fund for outstanding poor children in order to take care them better. This action will respond to a program entitled "To act for 300 children being operated heart". As a result, sufferers from heart diseases who are the outstanding poor children will be saved their lives.
