As announced before, yesterday of May 29, at 11.00 AM, the torch procession with its subject of "the Vietnamese torchlight procession following Uncle Ho’s itinerary" came Dong Nai. The following representatives being present at Tran Bien Temple of Culture waited for and welcomed the procession to Dong Nai namely leaders of the province, other ones from the local departments and organizations, armed forces, members of the Provincial Youth League and the people from all walks of life.
Mr. Le Hong Phuong as Standing Deputy Province Committee Secretary took up torch from a torch-bearer, which has gone through many provinces and cities and lit a fire to a big incense-burner in front of the main shrine of Tran Bien Temple of Culture. Addressing this torchlight procession, Mr. Vo Van Mot as the Chairman of the Provincial Peoples’ Committee expressed the determination of the local party committee and the people to be always true to Unlce Ho’s ideals and try their best to attain to weathy people, strong country, just and civilized society. After that, leaders of the province made the torch - bearers a present of 2 pitures of Bien Hoa and Phu My Communal House memorials and 3 horizontal laccquered boards.
In the evening of the same day, a performance was showed in the provincial sporting event hall in order to welcome the procession. This morning of May 30, at 6.30, the province saw off the torch procession to keep to their itinerary through the remained areas as scheduled.
