Dong Nai accelerates shift to high-tech manufacturing

15:06, 19/04/2026

Dong Nai is emerging as an attractive destination for global technology investors. Competitive advantages in infrastructure and investment policies drive the shift. High-tech enterprises with low labor intensity and high value-added output are becoming more prominent, particularly in sectors such as electronics, automation, semiconductors, and chip manufacturing.

The influx of advanced technology firms into Dong Nai is expected to accelerate further once Long Thanh International Airport becomes operational. In response, the province is expediting the development of two next-generation industrial parks (IPs) designed specifically to attract high-tech investors in close proximity to the airport. At the same time, local universities are being mobilized to participate in training high-quality human resources to meet the demands of these industrial zones.

According to the action program of the provincial Party Committee, during the 2025–2030 period, Dong Nai will prioritize industrial development driven by high technology and environmental sustainability. This approach is intended to help the province avoid the “low-cost assembly” trap associated with low-value-added production, while minimizing pressure on social welfare systems. Ultimately, Dong Nai aims to position itself as a national hub for advanced technology.
