Dong Nai City Youth Union launches special emulation campaign

On May 29, the Executive Committee of the Dong Nai Youth Union issued a plan launching a special 500-day emulation campaign themed: “Solidarity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthroughs for a Civilized and Modern Dong Nai.”

In addition, the organization plans to develop and operate an e-commerce platform supporting the promotion and connection of supply and demand forOCOP products and youth startup products, while helping boost revenues for at least 150 youth-owned enterprises and business establishments. The CityYouth Union also targets introducing 9,000 outstanding youth union members for Party membership consideration, with more than 70% of newly admitted Party members across the city Party organization expected to come from this group. At the same time, it aims for 80% of youth union members to receive training on identifying and preventing online scams and harmful information in cyberspace, while mobilizing more than 500 volunteers for the “Digital Summer Campaign” during peak period from June 1 to August 15 each year.

For commune and ward youth unions andaffiliated organizations, all units are required to issue response plans and register youth projects and initiatives before June 20. Each organization is expected to register at least three youth projects or initiatives; introduce at least one youth innovative startup initiative or project annually at the city level; and establish or maintain at least one model or club of youth startup, digital transformation, or community technology team.

Each commune and ward youth union is also expected to build or maintain at least one smart, civilized, or self-managed youth street; support at least two youth startup products or local OCOP products in being promoted on digital platforms; assist young people in creating QR codes for traceability, digital payment systems, or promotional fan pages; complete youth union membership development targets; recommend outstanding youth union members for Party membership consideration; and organize at least two awareness sessions on combating online scams and harmful information. Each commune/ward Youth Union is also required to establish at least one Digital Summer volunteer team.

For full-time Youth Union officials, each official is required to commit to at least one breakthrough task, project, or initiative with measurable outcomes and clear deadlines, while striving to achieve good or higher performance ratings and ensuring that no youth officials face disciplinary action. Meanwhile, 100% of youth members are encouraged to install and use applications such as Thanh Nien Viet Nam, VNeID, and other digital platforms serving learning and work purposes.

To effectively implement the campaign, the City Youth Union has identified key solutions including strengthening discipline and accountability among youth union officials; promoting innovation and digital transformation; taking the lead in administrative reform; encouraging volunteer activities for community development to contribute to double-digit economic growth targets; improving educational attainment and international integration capacity among young people; protecting the Fatherland, maintaining political security, social order and safety; and strengthening the quality of Youth Union, Youth Federation, and Young Pioneer organizations.
