Closing of 17th National Radio Festival - Quang Ninh 2026: Honoring 190 outstanding radio works

On the evening of April 13, the closing and awards ceremony of the 17th National Radio Festival – Quang Ninh 2026 was held at the Quang Ninh planning, fair and exhibition palace, marking the conclusion of a vibrant and emotionally engaging week of professional activities.

Attending the closing ceremony were Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper; Do Tien Sy, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam.

This year’s festival, held from April 11 to 13, drew participation from 73 delegations with nearly 1,000 delegates. The jury highly praised 343 entries across a wide range of categories, including live radio programs, feature reports, investigative reports, and ethnic-language broadcasts. Notably, this marked the first time a podcast was officially included as a competition category, reflecting the radio sector’s strong adaptation to the digital environment.

At the award ceremony, the organizing committee honored 190 outstanding works, including 23 Gold awards, 36 Silver awards, 71 Bronze awards, and 60 consolation prizes. In addition, many individual categories were also recognized to encourage professionals, such as: Excellent Announcer, Excellent Program Host, Live Production Team, Excellent Podcast Host, and Excellent Technician. Among them, Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television won 2 Bronze awards (in the Live Radio and Thematic Podcast categories), 2 consolation prizes, along with the Excellent Announcer award and the Excellent Technician award.

The awards presented at the 17th National Radio Festival once again affirmed the event as not only a platform to honor creative achievements but also an important professional forum for journalists. The festival’s success underscores the leading role of radio in Vietnam’s revolutionary press system while promoting profound humanistic values to audiences nationwide.
