Along with the rest of the province, officers and soldiers of Dong Nai provincial armed forces have been carrying out various practical activities in preparation for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly (NA) and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 tenure.
The Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have directed subordinate units to develop plans ensuring that all eligible citizens can fully exercise their civic rights. Training activities have also been organized while coordination with functional forces has been strengthened to ensure security and safety for the upcoming national election day.

“I will exercise my civic rights responsibly by choosing outstanding representatives for the NA and People’s Councils. Doing so is also a small contribution to the success of this important political event,” soldier Mai Tien Chanh shared.
Having participated in several elections, Captain Nguyen Trung Hieu, a mass mobilization officer at the Political Department of the Provincial Military Command, said voting and selecting the right candidates is not only the exercise of civic rights and obligations but also a demonstration of citizens’ responsibility toward the nation and their homeland. We will carefully study the candidates’ profiles and working backgrounds in order to choose the most deserving representatives,” he said.
From the remote border area, Junior Sergeant Dinh Quoc Hieu of the armed team at the Hoa Lu International Border Gate Border Guard Station under the Provincial Border Guard Command also shared his anticipation as the national election day approaches. Meanwhile, soldier Nguyen Duy Gia Hao from the Hoang Dieu Border Guard Station said the upcoming vote will mark the first time he exercises his civic rights.
“Holding a ballot in hand is not only the exercise of civic rights and obligations but also a milestone marking personal maturity and a meaningful contribution to the national election day,” Hao said. He added that each vote cast responsibly also contributes to safeguarding national sovereignty and border security.
First Lieutenant Le Dang Khoa, Head of the administrative staff team at the Hoa Lu International Border Gate Border Guard Station, said officers and soldiers remain highly vigilant while preparing for the election.
“While fulfilling our voting duties, we will also maintain combat readiness and continue patrol activities to prevent any acts that may threaten security across the border, thereby ensuring absolute safety for this important political event,” he noted.
Colonel Bui Dang Ninh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Military Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, said preparations have basically been completed. During a recent inspection by the NA’s Committee for National Defense and Security and the Provincial Election Commission, Polling Station No.38 under Tan Trieu ward Election Commission - where officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command will cast their ballots - received positive evaluations from the ward authorities.
The Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Border Guard Command and other armed forces units have ensured that all officers and soldiers fully understand the basic information related to the election. They have directed and organized the posting of action programs of candidates running for seats in the NA and the Provincial People’s Council.
Colonel Bui Dang Ninh added that Polling Station No.38 under Tan Trieu ward Election Commission has a total of 737 voters from the Provincial Military Command, Factory A42, the Region Military Procuracy 72, the Regional Criminal Investigation Agency 2 and the S21 Optical Cable Station. Polling areas have been prepared with decorated ballot boxes, voter guidance desks and ballot stamping areas, all ready for election day.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Border Guard Command has established 15 polling teams with a total of 1,345 voters, including 1,109 border guard personnel and 236 others from Dong Xoai ward Police, Regional Defense Command 3 in Dong Xoai and the National Defense and Security Education Unit under the Provincial Military Command’s Staff Department.
According to Colonel Nguyen Anh Duc, Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command and Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Provincial Border Guard force has proactively implemented plans to ensure combat readiness and safeguard election security. Border guard units have also intensified efforts to maintain order, combat crime and prevent violations of border regulations while organizing drills to respond to possible situations.
In addition, the Provincial Border Guard Command has coordinated closely with local authorities and relevant forces to monitor the situation, deploy personnel to safeguard border areas, polling teams, voting locations and places where voter lists are posted to ensure security and safety during the peak election period.
Colonel Nguyen Anh Duc said each border guard station has established two to three working teams to assist localities in preparing facilities for the election and disseminating information about the significance of the election as well as citizens’ rights and responsibilities. The units are also working closely with local Party committees, authorities and mass organizations to encourage residents to fully exercise their civic rights and actively participate in the election.
