Creating conditions for workers to participate in election
In many industrial parks, companies have developed appropriate production plans to allow workers time to participate in election. Some businesses have arranged flexible shifts, allowing workers time off to head to the polls. A typical example is Vedan Vietnam Enterprise Corp., Ltd (Phuoc Thai commune, Dong Nai province), where more than 80% of the workers are local residents, the Board of Directors has created all conditions for union members and workers to participate in voting. At the polling station in Phuoc Thai commune, many company workers were present early to vote.
Tran Thi Huyen, an employee of the Sales Department of Vedan Vietnam Enterprise Corp., Ltd said she felt excited and proud to participate in election day. She expressed her belief that her vote would contribute to selecting representatives with strong moral qualities, professional competence, dedication and responsibility to the people, who truly represent voters’ voices and legitimate aspirations.
Pham Trung Thuyen, Chairman of the grassroots trade union of Vedan Vietnam Enterprise Corp., Ltd said: In order to create conditions for union members and workers to participate in voting, at all meetings, the company informed the managers of workshops and departments to arrange work to facilitate workers to hit the polls. The Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union propagated to workers to fully participate in voting on March 15; all salary regimes for union members and workers are fully guaranteed.
At Pou Chen Vietnam Enterprise Ltd (Bien Hoa ward), on the morning of March 15, thousands of workers were fully present at the polling stations to exercise their civic rights and duties. The election atmosphere was serious and enthusiastic.
At the polling station at Hoa An Primary School, right from early morning, many workers came to attend the opening ceremony of the election, and then successively followed the regulations to cast their votes. Some expressed their joy and excitement at being able to directly participate in selecting outstanding representatives.
Tran Van Nam, a company worker, shared that he was very happy to participate in the national festival. Directly holding the ballot in hand to choose worthy representatives is the pride of every worker. He hoped that the elected representatives will continue to listen to the opinions of workers, pay more attention to their lives, jobs, and social welfare policies for workers.
According to observations at the polling stations, most of Dong Nai workers are well aware of their rights and responsibilities, so they actively turned out early to vote. Many said that despite their busy work schedules, they still arranged time to participate in voting fully and in accordance with regulations, contributing to the overall success of the election day.
Rubber tappers vote after overnight shifts
In Xuan Que commune, more than 14.8 thousand voters in the commune enthusiastically participated in the election of deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels. As of 12:00 on March 15, over 90% of the commune's voters had completed voting at 14 polling stations.
Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director in charge of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television Cao Quoc Sang attended the opening ceremony at Polling Team No. 3, Xuan Que commune.
Xuan Que commune has a large number of voters who are farmers and rubber tapping workers. Many workers took advantage of the time after tapping rubber to go to the polling station to exercise their rights and duties. "I started tapping rubber from last night. After finishing my work this morning, instead of going home, I went straight to the polling station to cast my vote early. I hope my ballot will contribute to electing capable and dedicated representatives to contribute to our homeland," shared Hoang Ngoc Hung, a rubber tapper from Ong Que hamlet, Xuan Que commune.
Regarding the organization, Xuan Que commune opened the election at 6 a.m, and polling stations were arranged according to regulations with full staff in charge of supporting voters.
Nguyen Hong Thanh, Head of Polling Team No. 3, Xuan Que commune, said: thanks to widespread propaganda to all people, high voter turnout was recorded right in the morning. It is expected that the election work at the unit will be completed according to schedule.
